Muktangan Rehabilitation Center

Late Dr. Anita Awachat and Dr. Anil Awachat founded Muktangan Rehabilitation Center on August 29th, 1986.

The late Dr. Anita Awachat a woman who had a passion and dream for an addiction free society. While the reality of this dream is overwhelming, the Mutkangan Rehabilitation Centre works hard to help individuals change their lives.

Today, it has achieved the status of being one of the best institutes in the field of Drugs & Alcohol de-addiction and is the only institute with ISO 9001:2008 certification. Muktangan has a capacity to cater to over 120 residential clients. Its treatment module is of 30 days residential stay and on completion of the same, there is a regular follow up, for which the center has a strong network of follow up centers all over Maharashtra.

Mutkangan’s program is a five week program consisting of physical fitness, meditation, group therapy, relaxation therapy, yoga, AA meetings, 12 step, and prayer. After completing the program there is also extensive follow up to help patients stay sober after the program.

The centre recently opened a ward called Nishigandh. This ward is specifically designed for only women patients and is also staffed only by women.

Muktangan also has its own magazine and literature available to aid patients while in the program or out. The Mutkangan Rehabilitation Centre is a loving, passionate place for men and women to receive help with addiction.
