Ashraya Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Center is a home for approximately sixty children in R.T Nagar, Bangalore. In addition to residential facilities, the Center provides education, medical care, rehabilitation and vocational training to the children. The children fall in the age-group of 2-18 yrs and some of them are mentally or physically challenged.
About us
ASHRAYA was established in the year 1991 and has been involved primarily in the care and rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged children. This objective has lead to the establishment of the following facilities.
Our Objective!
The goal of Ashraya is to provide education to the poor and needy children and also to provide shelter for physically and mentally challenged children. Presently (year 2010) Ashraya gives shelter for more than 75 children and free education for almost 200 children who are living in slums around Ashraya. At Ashraya, the children are taught to be independent individuals, irrespective of the disability they have. Ashraya is managed by a board of trustees who are socially sensitive professionals and social activist.
